Cow horns have been in use in Scandinavia for more than 2000 years as
communication items,
and musical instruments.
Per Runberg has been making cow horns (and goat horns) for more than 20
years.
As a teenager he learnt this handicraft directly from old horn makers.
The shape and size of each horn is unique, so the key and sound of each
horn is individual.
The animal horn is traditionally a solistic instrument so the quality of
sound has been more
important than tuning a specific key.
